William M. Wicker recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Venture Global LNG. Mr. Wicker came to Venture Global from Morgan Stanley where he served as Vice Chairman of Investment Banking in the Natural Resources group, his clients included several major oil companies, state-owned energy companies and large U.S. independents. As an investment banker, Mr. Wicker specialized in large-cap oil and gas companies in the U.S. and internationally. Bill has conducted business in 26 countries including: Brazil, Russia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Canada, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, France, Germany and the United Kingdom.  

 Bill retired from Goldman Sachs in 2009. While at GS, Bill was a Partner Managing Director in the Natural Resources Group. In 2005 and 2006, Bill was CEO of Goldman Sachs Gao Hua and Co-Head of Investment Banking in Asia Ex-Japan based in Beijing. Bill is an experienced corporate executive and served a Senior Vice President at Texaco from 1997—2001 where he was responsible for worldwide refining and marketing, natural gas marketing, power and gasification and corporate development. Bill was previously Co-Head of Global Energy at Credit Suisse First Boston, a member of the Kidder Peabody Energy Group and a consultant with McKinsey & Co. 

Since 2010, Mr. Wicker has served on the Board of Trustees of Union College. Mr. Wicker holds a B.A. from Union College, an M.A. from Indiana University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
